License Renewal

License Expiration

Please be advised that pursuant to NRS 641A.235(2), the Nevada issued license of a Marriage and Family Therapist license and a Clinical Professional Counselor expires on January 1st of every other year. Therefore, the license renewal fee of $450.00 must be post dated by the 31st of December. A marriage and family therapist or clinical professional counselor licensed by this Board may satisfy the requirements of licensure renewal by teaching at an institution, seminar, workshop, conference or other program, course material, the content of which must be related to the field of practice of marriage and family therapy or clinical professional counseling and may not be part of the primary or regular employment of the therapist or counselor. For each such hour taught, 2 hours of CEUs may be credited.

Licensees will need to keep a record of Reported CEU’s for up to five years in case your name is selected for a random audit conducted by the board office. If this occurs, licensees will need to produce a copy of the certificate of attendance for verification of their training units.
