Licensure by Reciprocity

Below you will find the process to obtain licensure in Nevada as a MFT or CPC.

1. Background Check (this process takes 8 weeks to complete)

• One fingerprint card (you can be fingerprinted in the state you are in)
• MONEY ORDER for $40.25 payable to Department of Public Safety
• Fingerprint Background Waiver (link below)

SEND FINGERPRINT CARDS, MONEY ORDER & WAIVER TO THE BOARD OFFICE @ 7324 W. CHEYENNE AVE. SUITE 10, LAS VEGAS NV 89129

2. Application

• CPC License by Reciprocity
• MFT License by Reciprocity
• Payment of $75.00

3. Copy of ID

• State issued ID or Driver’s License

4. License Verification from current State Licensing Board

Copy of current professional license & verification details from your state licensing board

5. Current Copy of Background

• Fingerprint Background Waiver

6. Obtain a Self-Query

• Obtain a self-query: Fee for self-query is around $4.00
• Once all documents and background check results have been received by the Board office, you will be notified to pay your registration fee for license issuance

7. Registration Fee for License Issuance

Payment of $30.00

Our licenses are on a biennial renewal cycle. This license will expire by 1/1/2026 regardless of issue date and the fee to renew is $450.00.
