The Board of Examiners for Marriage & Family Therapists and Clinical
Professional Counselors

Exists for the protection of the public. The Board is empowered under NRS 641A to set minimum standards for the licensing of marriage and family therapists and clinical professional counselors and to oversee the ethical conduct of licensed therapists, counselors and licensed interns in the State of Nevada.

Please be advised that a bill was passed in 2015—AB93—requiring mental health therapists (MFTs and CPCs), to take two (2) CEUs of suicide prevention courses annually. Go to our Statutes and Administrative Code page to review the bill.

OFFICE HOURS: Monday, Wednesday & Friday – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Tuesday & Thursday – 9:00 am – 2:30 pm
(closed during lunch hour, 12:00 pm-1:00 pm)
 (The Office will be closed on ALL State Holidays, Board Meetings (offsite) and Board Interviews)
